Effective 1st October 2025, the long-standing practice of issuing Divorce Certificates will be discontinued. This change is communicated through an official notice from the Malindi Kadhi Court, directed at all advocates and litigants involved in marital dissolution cases under the court's jurisdiction. What is Changing? Previously, individuals who obtained a divorce through the Kadhi's Court would receive a Divorce Certificate as the final proof that their marriage had been legally dissolved.
