Iftar Fun Walk 2026 To Take Place on Sunday February 8th

By Mariam Msah , January 15, 2026

The 2026 edition of the Iftar Fun Walk one of Kenya’s largest Muslim-led fundraising events will take place on Sunday, 8th February 2026. The walk will start at Adams Mosque along Ngong Road and end at the Sir Ali Muslim Club in Ngara.

Now in its sixth year, the annual community initiative seeks to raise funds to support needy Muslims during the holy month of Ramadhan. Participants walk to raise donations, transforming every step taken into meals for thousands of vulnerable families.

Organised by Zakat Kenya, the event is targeting to raise Sh30 million, which will go towards the distribution of food parcels to 5,000 beneficiaries, most of whom live in informal settlements. During last year’s event, 3,200 food packs were distributed to families in Nairobi and its surrounding areas.

“By the grace of Allah, we have consistently supported the most vulnerable members of our community by channeling charitable donations in both cash and kind, reaching more than 25,000 families in Nairobi and its environs,” Zakat Kenya said in a statement.

“Our goal is to continue supporting these families while expanding the reach and impact of the Iftar Fun Walk across Nairobi’s most underserved communities.”

The event, which attracts thousands of participants, is among the most anticipated gatherings for Muslims in Nairobi and neighbouring regions.

Individuals and institutions wishing to take part can contribute Sh1,000 via M-Pesa PayBill number 600765, account WALK.

The initiative is supported by several corporate partners, including Dakawou Transport Limited, Mobi Tyres, Wabco Tyres, Patco Industries, Mombasa Maize Millers, and Rolling Cargo.
