KCB SAHL Donates KSH 6 M To Support Jamia mosque Nairobi’s Medical kitty  

By Mariam Lanji, July 1, 2025 KCB SAHL, the islamic banking arm of KCB group, has donated Ksh 6 million to Jamia mosque Nairobi to boost its critical medical assistance program. Speaking during the cheque presentation at Jamia Mosque Nairobi, Hemed Hassan, the CEO of KCB SAHL expressed gratitude for the partnership and emphasized the importance of supporting healthcare initiatives that benefit the wider community, particularly the underprivileged. “This is a reaffirmation of our shared values of compassion,equity,dignity and service to humanity all firmly anchored in the timely principles of shariah. It is with this great humility that we as KCB Sahl officially present this cheque of Ksh 6 million to Jamia medical fund, a fund that continues to ensure access to medical assistance to the vulnerable members of the community”,He said.  Jamia mosque Nairobi chairman  Mohamed Osman Warfa called on KCB Sahl to continue supporting the muslim community. According to Warfa, “On behalf of Jamia Mosque Nairobi and the muslim community in Kenya , I thank KCB Sahl team for the support they have shown the muslim community over the years, we have received funds before from the bank to support to muslims. “We continue to carry the vision of the founders of Jamia of being the center of Daawah for the muslims,  we look forward to future co-operations that will be beneficial to the muslims in the country,” he added. Over the years Jamia Mosque Nairobi has been in the forefront in helping the needy muslims in areas including education, medical and dry food programs among others.     Sheikh Ibrahim Lethome ,Chairman of the shariah advisory  KCB Sahl called for enhanced collaborations between KCB Sahla and Jamia mosque Nairobi, stating that the donation will go along the way in supporting the low income earners.
