This initiative is not only about planting trees. It aims to raise awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where thousands continue to endure war, displacement, and shortages of food, clean water, and health services. Community members, faith groups, students, and civil society are invited to join the symbolic tree-planting ceremony at Uhuru Park. Those unable to attend in person can still support the cause by purchasing trees remotely through the M-Pesa PayBill. The campaign has already gained momentum online, with activists and influencers spreading the message. Organizers believe that with widespread participation, the 5,000-tree target will be exceeded — sending a strong message of unity, compassion, and resilience.
