Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale received a 30-ton consignment of humanitarian relief cargo from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) aimed at supporting communities affected by drought, particularly in the North Eastern region.
The consignment, comprising a large supply of dates, will be distributed to vulnerable households through the Kenya Red Cross Society. The targeted assistance will focus on those who have been severely impacted by prolonged drought and food insecurity.
This humanitarian initiative is part of the UAE's broader international outreach efforts to combat food insecurity, especially during the holy month of Ramadhan when demand for essential commodities increases among at-risk populations.
Duale was joined by Head of Consular Affairs and International Services H.E Mr Osama Abuseem, Secretary General of the Kenya Red Cross Dr. Ahmed Idris, and SUPKEM's Regional Coordinator for North Eastern Dr. Adan Ibrahim.
